What is a sacred birth worker doula and what is my role?

My training as a sacred birth worker with Sacred Birth International is a lot more in depth than an average doula course. To me, being a doula is about way more than understanding the physiology of childbirth. Number one is holding a safe space for the mother and her partner.

I am here to make you feel empowered, safe and supported emotionally, in pregnancy, childbirth and beyond. With years of experience with working with and holding space for women, and being a mother of two myself, I am full of wisdom and knowledge. Most importantly, I am a very calm, grounded, intuitive and warm support person. Someone that you can feel safe having by your side in this transformative, powerful, and sometimes a bit scary and overwhelming experience.

The support looks differently depending on your unique needs and wishes. Together we discover and unravel how I can best be there for you and your partner in the magical process of pregnancy and childbirth. I will be here for you to strengthen your intuition and support you to come into contact with your own inner voice to discover what your dream birth scenario looks like, and then prepare for that.

Even if childbirth is about surrendering, letting go and letting the unknown unfold, preparation is key. I will be by your side in your preparation for your birth, during labour and through the postpartum phase. Another very important factor for a positive birthing experience is support. Support from your birthing team. A team which I would feel honoured to be part of. There is something called "the doula effect". Studies show that families who hire a doula have a more positive birthing experience, which in turn strengthens the bond to the baby and makes postpartum a more joyful experience. Mothers who give birth with a doula by their side are also less likely to experience complications in childbirth. And they are more likely to have a natural birthing process without medical intervention, because the physiology have a better chance of being protected.

Doula

Support throughout pregnangy, childbirth and beyond

In my doula package this is included:

One get-to-know each other meeting, this can be in your home, at a café, in my Studio or online
Two meetings during pregnancy to prepare for your birth - this can include a massage if you wish
Support throughout your pregnancy until the follow-up meeting
From two weeks before your due date I will be on call 24/7 until your baby is born
I will be available via phone during the latent phase of labour
Support while you are in labour from when you call me and need my presence - you decide when you want me to arrive - either at home or at the hospital
A birth debrief and follow-up meeting during the first month after giving birth
I will also be available via phone or text during the first month after your birth
Borrow my books about pregnancy and childbirth to assist you in your preparation journey

Mother Blessing Ceremony

Honouring the Mother

This is a ceremony that honours the mother and her new journey that awaits, by showering her with love, wisdom and support. This magical ritual focuses on the mother and the awaiting birth, as opposed to a baby shower. Gathering in a close circle of women is a beautiful way to bless and prepare the mother emotionally and spiritually for the birth and her transit into motherhood. When a new baby is born, a new mother is born, no matter if it is her first, second or third child. The most powerful and transformative experience in a woman’s life.

When you trust me to organize this for a dear friend of yours, your partner or yourself, I promise to make this day magical. We will meet beforehand, either in person or online, to talk further about how I can make the ceremony extra special and a memory that you will cherish forever. I can host this at my Studio, come to the mothers home or any location of your liking.

Spirit Baby Ceremony

Inviting in a new soul

A spirit baby ceremony is a beautiful and powerful way of welcoming a new soul to this Earth. This is both for you who are trying to conceive, or you who are already pregnant. It is a moment for you and your partner to connect to each other and the baby you are longing for. Siblings are always welcome to join, if you want this to be a moment for your whole family.

Creating a child is not merely a physical process, but a sacred and spiritual journey. Through this ceremony you foster a spiritual bond and an emotional readiness for becoming parents, to make space for a new soul in your lives. It puts you in touch with your intuition and evokes deep trust and a strong inner knowing. You’ll gain wisdom of what that child needs from you as their mother and father to feel safe, loved and ready to come earthside. Having this perspective emphasizes the importance of preparing both the soul and the mind for the arrival of your precious baby.

I can host this at my Studio, come to your home or any location of your liking.

Express Doula

When labour has already started

This is for you who realize late in pregnancy, or maybe when labor has already started, that you need support from another woman by your side through your process and journey. Then I will be there for you through labor and for a follow-up meeting after your birth, at any time of your choosing in your postpartum phase. I will also be available via phone or text during the first month.

Birth pool rental

I have a birth pool available for rental. You can rent it from when you are 37+0 weeks pregnant and you keep it until you have given birth. Contact me by filling out the form HERE for more information on how to book it.

2300 kr including VAT. There is an additional fee to cover for shipping if you can't come and pick it up in person.
Doula clients of mine have a 300 kr discount.
